Cued

Cued changelog

Current version 1.0. Cued updates itself; you can also choose Cued → Check for Updates….

Version numbers started again at 1.0 for the first full release, after the 2.x beta builds.

Cued 1.0 (build 23): Bug fixes

22 October 2026

  • Bug fixes.

Cued 1.0 (build 22): A cleaner unlock screen

22 October 2026

  • The page where you unlock Cued is tidier, so the price and the button stand out.

Cued 1.0 (build 21): New prices, and updates you can see coming

22 October 2026

  • Founding price is now $9: the first 50 founding members pay $9 once, with every future update for life. After that, Cued is $29 with a year of updates.
  • Updates tell you when they're ready: Cued shows what's new and lets you install it with one click. Never during a call or just before a meeting.
  • From the next update on, Cued opens its window afterwards with a “What's new” link, so it never looks like it simply closed.

Cued 1.0 (build 20): No echo, clearer transcripts, faster recordings

22 October 2026

  • No echo in your recordings: on laptop speakers, the others' voices used to come back through your mic. Cued now takes them out of the recording, the live transcript and Redo, even for calls you recorded before. With AirPods or headphones it steps aside by itself.
  • Clearer transcripts with Whisper: Cued now recommends Whisper, a more accurate transcription model that runs on your Mac. Until it has downloaded, Cued keeps transcribing with Apple's.
  • Never a wrong name in your notes: summaries name someone only when Cued is sure who said it. Otherwise they say “someone on the call”.
  • The call you just joined wins: if you start a call in another app while one is still open, Cued follows the new one.
  • Long recordings open with about 60% less work.

Cued 1.0 (build 19): Who said what

22 October 2026

  • Names in group calls: in Google Meet, Cued names each line by who Meet shows speaking, word by word. When it isn't sure it says “Speaker”: tap the name to fix it, for one line or all of them.
  • Clean transcripts without headphones: Cued takes the others' voices out of your microphone, so your lines are only yours.
  • Catches more calls: Meet's newer links, FaceTime, Zoom, Slack huddles and Teams on the web. If another app looks like a call, Cued asks once.
  • You are “You”: transcripts, action items and summaries call you “you”.
  • Unlock with your email, one Mac at a time with automatic licence moves, and no more repeating “Cued froze” box.

Cued 1.0: The launch release

16 October 2026

  • Pay once and keep it: the first 50 founding members get Cued for $29 with every future update for life. One licence works on one Mac at a time and moves with you.
  • Sign in with Google and you're in: if you already bought Cued, it unlocks by itself. Your licence key is in Settings → Licence, with Copy and Email it to me.
  • More accurate transcripts: download Whisper by OpenAI in Settings → Meetings for clearer transcripts with accents and names. It runs on your Mac.
  • Real names: in one-to-one calls, transcripts and summaries name the other person instead of “Them”.
  • Last time with…: before a call, the notch reminds you what you discussed and promised last time.
  • Search shows what every call was about, its summary or the first things said. Smart search finds things by meaning and runs on your Mac.
  • Downloads show a progress bar with a percentage, and dozens of fixes from a full check before launch.

Cued 2.3.1: Easier setup

12 October 2026

  • Sign in with Google first, so Meet links and Find a time work from the start. Apple Calendar can be added too, which covers iCloud and Outlook on your Mac.
  • When macOS needs you in System Settings, a small card shows exactly what to switch on. For Accessibility and Screen Recording you can drag Cued straight into the list.
  • Every on-device model in one place in Settings → Meetings, downloaded in the background and never during a call.

Cued 2.3.0: Ready before your first call

12 October 2026

  • On a new install, Cued fetches only what your Mac needs in the background: a summary model if Apple Intelligence isn't on, and smart search after your first few recordings.
  • Downloads pause while you're in a meeting, wait when your battery is low, and pick up where they left off.
  • A clearer Google button, and Accessibility is now part of the permissions Cued asks for, so meeting links paste correctly.

Cued 2.2.2: Maintenance

12 October 2026

  • A small maintenance update. Nothing about how Cued works changed.

Cued 2.2.1: Home tells you what's next

12 October 2026

  • Your next meeting and how long until it, right under the greeting.
  • Download or delete a video from the Playback heading. Deleting the video keeps the transcript and summary.
  • Cued follows your Mac's light or dark setting.
  • A reminder when a new version is available.

Cued 2.2.0: Search inside a meeting

11 October 2026

  • Find any moment in a call's transcript and jump straight to it.
  • A meeting player with the transcript following along.
  • A people filter: everything said, shown or shared with one person.
  • Optional emails about new versions.

Cued 2.1.0: Updates inside the app

10 October 2026

  • The first version that updates itself, plus search from Home and the ⌘K panel.
